EARLY 20TH CENTURY TAMBOUR LACE PANEL
This is an exquisite cotton tambour lace panel from early 20th Century, with a few of the flowers within the panel decorated with horn shells, see image 6. It is in good confition.
There are many ways you could use it. It works really well hung very slightly away from the wall as light shadows on the wall give an extra dimension to the wonderful designs.
Shown in the images, both hung slightly gathered and flat pinned onto a batten. It would need hand stitching onto a cotton batten or looped with linen string around a pole, (see last 2 images). For ease of hanging and to give it strength, there is a hand stitched line of thin natural linen tape along the top edge to hang with curtain clips or attach the panel, tape is shown in image 7.
